More thin clouds emerged as the early morning mist had cleared. A spectacular sunrise painted the sky shades of orange in the east. There was no favorable chance to view the sunrise in the bus. But I could now and then spot it through gaps when gazing into the distance. The scenery was rapidly changing. By the time the bus had dropped me off outside the metro station, I began to feel hungry. The sight of steaming baskets and pots tempted my hunger. A couple of vendors threw me a long expectant look. One of them greeted me with a thankful smile, from whom I bought a steamed sticky rice bun wrapped with mushrooms for breakfast and took away a fried spicy egg roll for lunch. After the bun expelled the hunger, I ran down the stairs to take a long train trip. As my steps quickened, the vigorous desire for a conquest of the wild Great Wall raged into a torrent.
